Instagram releases top photographed spots of 2013

If there’s one thing travellers love doing, it’s documenting their adventures, and many turn to Instagram for all of its filtered-glory. With that in the mind, the folks behind the brilliant app looked at location trends to find the most Instagrammed places of 2013.

It turns out Thailand is hard to resist, with the Siam Paragon shopping mall coming in first place overall. 2012’s winner, the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, came in ninth. Other than those, the rest of the top 10 list was filled out with American landmarks.

Check out this gallery, for the top 10.

Shockingly, the Eiffel Tower was pushed off the list…but I decided to include it just the same because I LOVE this picture! You can also follow @globe_guide on Instagram to see more.
